About

Dr. Ryan Kocsis graduated with a Doctorate of Chiropractic in September of 2017, after earning his BS in Exercise Physiology from CSU Chico in 2014. He was actively engaged in sports all through his youth before finding a real passion in the sport of rock climbing and the outdoors. This continued interest in an active lifestyle set forth the precedent of his approach with patient care in the realm of Chiropractic. Believing that a properly moving body is essential to an ever moving and active individual through one’s entire lifespan. Ryan has gained certifications in various movement, fitness and treatment techniques in his pursuit for gaining knowledge towards how humans move, how they can move better and how he can help assist them along that path.

Ryan currently is the owner of & chiropractor at Movement Base: Chiropractic & Sports Therapy, where he employs everything he’s learned to help patients feel better and improve their movement mechanics. Feeling as though many problems people face are greatly impacted by how they move over time, he strives to educate patients on their own bodies and their current issues. He believes that as you provide people with the understanding and mechanisms for why you have pain and how your body is functioning, you’re providing crucial knowledge towards how people can fix themselves, rather than just relieving their symptoms.

After owning and operating the business in Davis, CA, Ryan ended up moving to Fort Collins, CO in 2019 and transitioned his practice more into a mobile and partly online rehab consulting and education clinic. Working with fewer clients, spending a greater amount of time with each and focusing on long-term movement corrections. He currently has moved back to the California region and spends most of the time working with clients in the Davis region. It has been an amazing experience to have had the opportunity to work not only in a more conventional clinic space but also in more of a health consulting setting.

He has a particular interest in helping educate clients and working with clients who have more chronic issues as well as those looking to improve their movement lifestyle for the long-term.
